Why does everyone think Gus called the plays while Chip was there?
All of that was fake news. Chip admits he called all of the plays. Are we using “sources”?
Chip likely struggled with the other offensive staff as they likely went to Gus instead of Chip with ideas. Not to mention it went down hill with the Oline coaching change. Reminds me of Nall and Franklin.

We dont really know. But imo Chip was 100% responsible for the shite show was saw against Arkansas.

People who know him from his Spain Park tenure said that Chip called plays but the playbook was Gus' and Chip was limited in his ability to add/alter the playbook
Basically
- "Who TF thought that playcall was a good idea?" = Mostly Chip
- "Why doesn't this play/scheme exist in our playbook?" = Mostly Gus
All that said, Gus implicitly agreed with Chip's play calls as he never stripped him of playcalling duties
