Looking for a place for pre-game in Jax. Back in the day, the Landing was the spot. It sounds like it's fallen on some hard times. What are some other good spots downtown and in the vicinity of the stadium we can grab some food and hang out before the game?

As a Jax resident, do not go to the Landing. As of today, Sleiman, who owns the Landing, has not gotten the permits for any bands, etc due to a lawsuit filed by the city because of the recent shooting at the Landing. I just dont see how they will get the permits before the game. My suggestion is to hang with fellow Dawg fans at RV City and party with good food, drinks and friends. You will be in a safe environment as the JSO is going to have about 340 police officers patrolling.

Even on hard times, the Landing is the best Jacksonville has to offer for pre-gaming... which is why I refuse to go back to Jacksonville.

Times change. When I went back in the 90's the Landing was the place to be specially after the game. We're staying on Amelia Island which should be nice.

Their website is advertising entertainment so not sure what is going on -

The Tailgate Grill and Bar and that side of the stadium is usually Dawg heavy and offers some good partying. I believe that is across form Gate 3 as mentioned above.

I will say this....I live in Camden County GA so the stadium is like 35-40 minutes from me. There was the Madden shooting at the Landing awhile back but there was also a drive by on the east side of the stadium right before kickoff of the Jags game this past weekend...there will be a HUGE police presence but for all you guys coming down....BE CAREFUL and keep your heads on the swivel...I fear something else happening during the WLOCP this year...crime in Jax...is no joke. Shootings reported almost daily. It has become a problem.

Be safe and have fun!!

I will be at the house in Kingsland enjoying the game on tv with my smoker put to work...and staying away from all the damned traffic.

Go Dawgs!
