Does Steele have 10 years in the state retirement system yet?

Don't know just keep seeing his name mentioned. Keep checking that dumpster fire to see what happens

Let's be real. If they hire Kevin Steele after his track record as a head coach and his current age then they are admitting they're not interested in winning

Correct.
They will end up getting Les Miles. He has all the credentials and will bring Chief home as DC.

Stay at Auburn: coach a bunch of high-talent kids who have bought into your system, you're still recruiting high-level, you just beat a #1 UGA and #1 Bama, you've tried Head Coach and it did not go like you wanted, you're coaching some of the best defense in your career, you are about to get a raise and play for a conf championship, you don't have to deal with boosters, BOT, or the media much, you're about to get a raise and the fans want you forever, you're getting old and pretty soon will be in the Alabama retirement system if you stay.
Leave for Tennessee: you will get a giant raise but your first job is to clean-up 10 years of shite and maybe the most disasterous coaching search in NCAAF history under the watchful eye of invasive leadership/alumni/former coach, your athletic director was just fired by the overwatch and after a campus fan protest of the job he was doing, youve been there before and know the fans will scrutinize everything you do and every hire you make, you were not even in the top 5 of your fanbase's desired coaches, your staff hiring salaries may be capped outside of your control, you will not be earning towards the Alabama retirement system, your state is not football recruit fertile -- you will have to work hard for elite recruits, your rival is still Alabama, you will have to watch over what both of your primary coordinators are doing and care about offense again, the program will have to be very active on social media thanks to your predecessor or the fans will draw their own circumstantial conclusions that will hit the press, your primary goal is to resurrect a former blueblood program in 3 years or you will be looking for work yet again in what would be another failed HC tenure
If I was up there in age, I know what I would be doing.

Has Hugh Freeze turned them down yet?

I totally agree but money makes people do stupid stuff

I don't want him to go, but it's his alma mater offering a head coaching job and tons of money to do it. If they offer, he's gone in my opinion.

If offered HC, sure. I would think he's dumb if he didn't go.
As DC? GTFO, you delusional fricks.
