Video of his presser answering the question about him yelling “GET IT TO HIM”

LINK

This is a 180 for him. Seems loose and actually joking with media.

The way all this is shaking out, I think Gus might be like a pro golfer after they win their first major. A bunch of those guys will try to get better and change their swings, mentality and more often than not they get jacked up. Did Gus do something similar after getting to the NC game right out of the box. Did he over think things or try to be something he is not?

Seeing this Gus reminds me of the way back old Gus when he first came to Auburn as an OC. I'm cautiously optimistic.

I think Laniers started sneaking anabolic steroids in Gus's iced tea.

I certainly understand the feeling you’re expressing, but I am being very cautious not to fabricate a narrative based on that one game that Gus has turned it around. As Herbstreit said a few minutes ago, “the stars aligned” during the UGA game and we played absolutely fantastic football. Perhaps that will be hard to capture again...

I hope we do.

coach Klein got his balls back! I wish someone would make a gif with Saban turning into the baby face.

I completely agree. That's one of the reasons I haven't joined in the trolling on tRant. I can only hope Gus keeps his foot on the gas pedal and doesn't let up in the next, possibly, 3 games.

Gus changed after hanging 44 on Bama and losing by two scores. That game messed him up and ATM loss. He believed he needed to be able to go run clock to hang on because his D. This is the first time he’s ever had a dominating defense.

If you go back to those days, we all just wanted a defense. He coached differently thinking it was helping his D instead of just getting good players and coaches on D.

We are entering Gus 2.0 which I thought was still a year away. Develop dominating O and D.

Btw, there is a lot of rat poison being fed to us.

If you saw or can find Kerryons interview today on Finebaum, I dont think we have to worry about rat poison.

it's been a better football team since LSU and Gus seems happy, and we're winning. Oh, and Jay Jacobs is gone.

Comes in around the 20:00 mark.

Basically talks about how the coaches keep the guys' eyes on Atlanta by stressing the "one game at a time" thing, and how UGA means nothing and Bama won't mean anything if they don't get up for LAMO, etc.

I just wanna win the ship. If he wins us the ship I will forget all about his past. Next season our team will be completely freaking stacked.

From Jay G Tate on the Bunker

quote:

So I was on the Auburn sideline (for job; not a LAMP) during the final stages of the game Saturday. ULM scored their final touchdown on a bust of some kind. Haven't watched the tape. Don't know what happened. Devin Guice, a walk-on DB, was on the field for that play. When he came off the field, Malzahn was waiting for him. Guice took the full fury of Malzahn — complete with the dirty look, the finger pointing, the "that's crap" missive. He was PISSED OFF. Auburn was crushing this team and Malzahn was still mad as can be. Good sign? Surely not a bad sign

Another instance of Malzahn’s new attitude?

I really believe the old Gus is back and the LSU game was a real wake up call.

Same. It's gonna take more than one game to convince me GusShortBus is recovered from his Jeremy Johnson PTSD.
