Over the past 18 months, Georgia has hired a number of staff members with a direct tie to Alabama:
• Defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, who was Alabama’s secondary coach from 2010-12, and for three years before that a quality control coach.
• Linebackers coach Kevin Sherrer, an Alabama director of player development from 2010-12.
• Offensive line coach Rob Sale, who served on Alabama’s strength staff from 2007-11, and was also an offensive analyst.
• Strength and conditioning coordinator Mark Hocke, who was Alabama’s No. 2 on the strength staff the previous six years.
• Director of player personnel Sam Petitto, who was an intern at Alabama in 2008.
Saban, attending SEC meetings on Tuesday, was asked about his former staffers now at Georgia, headlined by Pruitt. It was clear Saban still holds him in great esteem.
“Those guys all did a great job for us. I think Jeremy Pruitt is one of the best coaches we’ve ever had on our staff,” Saban said...

Pretty sure Colorado won the AP as National Champs that year. What was funny about that year was prior to the final ranking the AP had Tech ranked #1 and Coaches had Colorado. Tech went on and on about how legit the AP was but not the Coaches UNTIL it flipped with the final ranking then all of a sudden the AP wasn't legit to you all (they final ranked Colorado #1). Soooo, other than Tech fans, Colorado is considered National Champs in 1990.

You ever been fishing all alone, then you realized no one would go fishing with you, and that's why you were fishing alone?

Guess we'll find out if we're bammer lite or not since we actually play bama this year.

Make sense to me. Hard to argue with Alabama's success.
