New OC?

Who are the names in the running?

As was with the first hire,beamer makes it sound like people are beating down the doors to get the position.

Even went as far as to say we had big names in the mix but they may not be a fit".

So I'm expecting a very good hire..if he hires an NFL assistant to the offensive coordinator I think it'll go bad.

No one knows anything. There have been a few leaks, but it's all gahbage. All of the legit people in the know keep saying it's being played very close to the vest.

IMO - Mullen would've been the grand slam but I couldn't ever see him going back to being a OC.

Briles would be an upgrade, but too many conflicting reports on him regarding his relationship with Pittboss and actually staying at Arky.

Riley is a long shot and seems to be setting himself up for a HC gig in the near future with the quick success they found at TCU.

Longo is a no-go for me. We'd see an improved offense, but he seems to struggle in the red zone with better defenses. That could be to a weak o-line he has at NC.

Johns at Duke seems to be an enigma. He's had successes, failures, and now success at Duke, so who knows.

I'd be able to get behind Graham Harrell or Seth Littrell.

I haven't read any other names being reported, and really haven't heard Littrell's name on any hot boards, but he was just fired by North Texas. The only other name I've read on any hot boards was Major Applewhite and I'm luke warm on him, just doesn't move the needle for me. Regardless, I hope/believe Shane will hire who he believes to be the best for the job.

So we hired a fricking TE coach that sucked in the pro's as a OC. WTF Beamer.

Can't be worse than Shatterfield, right?
