had better start winning on the field, otherwise he’s shaping up to be another Odom. The 2023 draft class is looking like a disaster.

It should be about time for us to make a pick.

I'm still 100% all in on Drink but if we go 4-8 (per SI's projection) he'll probably be on the hot seat.
I'd sign him long term right now though. He has the energy our program needs.

Fans better start showing up to the game! That one also hurt. Then there is NIL. I am happy with the way he is doing right now. Why are some people so upset about the situation with recruiting? Drinkwitz is doing the best he can right now. It isn't over until signing day! Right now, he is putting more time on getting his team ready. He is still light years better than Odom.

Yeah. If he goes 4-8, that will be a catastrophe.

Disaster is a strong word. He’s already got 2 4*s on board including a QB, which is better than Odom’s classes. It does seem like he’s missing on a lot of the types of guys he landed in 22 though which is a bummer

If he goes 4-8 and the rest of the East continues to improve it will be worse than a catastrophe, it will put Missouri in the position of having to play catch up.
Though who the hell knows what happens going forward. Y'all might wind up in a forgiving pod (or whatever the frick we wind up doing as a conference).
I've said y'all can go 8-4 with some breaks. If you go 4-8... Drink might not be in Columbia very long.

Could be worse actually.
Odom: 25-25
Drinkwitz so far: 11–12
It doesn't matter though. You have to see it through with Drinkwitz. This program needs to retain a young coach for basically a minimum of like 7 years. That means some really down years but if that means even a single year where we get to 10 wins, its obviously worth it. I said the same thing with Odom.

That is why you need to give Drinkwitz time. He is at least recruiting better and is getting the right coaches so far. Last year DC was a bad hired. This year DC is much better. He did hire a quarterback coach. That is another good news. He is learning who to get and it isn't easy to find them to come to Mizzou. Drinkwitz knows he is in need to win at least 8 games to help build the football program. This year will be a much-improved team he had ever coached since being the HC at Appalachian State.
