Go on FRBO and look for conch houses on Big Pine Key. We've stayed there on several occasions. Just a short drive to Key West.

Have only stayed in a couple Airbnb around Duval. Read reviews for sure, there are some dumps.

No hotel experience but can say I wouldn’t have enjoyed our trips if I couldn’t walk/ride to everything. We rented bikes both times for the week.

Can say the few hotels on the south side had the most beachy feel.

Get those Mallory point tables early for the sunset! Snorkeling was good and wave runners on a calm day. Seek out the smaller, local restaurants for sure.

Southernmost Inn is my fave. Pricey but really nice. Best location.

I go to the Keys a lot, but mostly stay in Islamorada or Key Largo anymore. Where all my buddies boats are.

Stayed in Marathon for years, there is a bus that runs down the OSH to Key West. Its about an hour. Several chains in Marathon.

Key West is fun and we usually spend a day there at Mel Fishers and Hemingway House. Though if you have been to bourbon street, you have seen duval. I recommend a trip to the dry tortugas.

Take water. There is none there.
