never really had a “doghouse” until Bill O’Brien showed up. He walks on campus and suddenly, Baker, Billingsley and Hall were all in the doghouse at once and it kept us from developing young guys. Maybe they weren’t the problem. #RollTideElephant

The 2020 team was both the best and worst thing to ever happen. An upperclassman heavy team loaded to the brim with elite talent who also happened to be fantastic leaders and had the entire roster in lockstep from day 1 is just not the norm. Not at all. You hardly ever see it in fact. Not anymore. So it was incredible to watch it unfold in real time, but the result is dumbfrick hot takes like this that treat that team like the norm and ignore everything from 2007-2019. No doghouse? I mean come on. That's just such a ridiculous argument it isn't worth responding to. This dude should just delete his Twitter account.

Yea, the fact that we were able to keep the ship afloat until the 2021 group established some leadership is remarkable, to be honest.
I think Coach O flames out at some future point anyway, but they had the same situation in 2020 with no internal leadership from staff or program (plus COVID) and it destroyed his career there very quickly. Same with Chizik.
Those years where you lose the bulk of student leaders on your roster from the prior year are the ones that truly show what your program is made of. Georgia will have a similar one next year.

I guess this guy never heard of Duron Carter, the legend that never was.
With NIL and the egos that come with sustained, high recruiting, one has to have even a tougher standard for team attitudes and the right character or the talent will tear the team apart no matter how much of it there is on the roster.
Watch aTm over the next two seasons, they will either be champs or a disaster. Money can buy talent, but talent alone doesn't make a team

Bill O'Brien is a terrible playcaller, does poor in-gane adjustments, lacks creativity before and after the snap and is terrible of talent development.
However, the "doghouse" has nothing to do with why he shortened our usable roster.
He sucks at managing talent and using resources. Look at what he did as a GM at Houston. When he's a headcoach and he has a DC and OC managing who plays, determining calls, building gameplans, etc and all he has to do is CEO? He is more successful.

What a fricking idiot. DJ Hall was literally in Saban's doghouse about 30 minutes after that chick kissed Saban in the Tuscaloosa airport.
