The worst thing about this was all of my Miss. State fam said this is exactly what we were getting when we hired him. And I tried to argue and believe they were wrong - hell, I did it on this very board with some of you who were skeptical at the time.

But I fricking knew they were right, and damn does it suck having to tell those cowbells that they called it right and he really was exactly who they said he was.

Three things I heard from all of them.

1. He's a lazy recruiter.
2. He will inexplicably lose at least one game a year he shouldn't.
3. He basically quits on the back half of a season if he feels like there's nothing left to play for.

Just fricking nailed it.

How hard is it to not text a recruit?

Not only that but the person he delegated to was a basic white chick. Last person I want pretending to be a Head football coach.

The same basic white chick that was banging the married Miss State baseball coach

So Dan literally delegated every task to someone else and then sat back and collected the checks?

What did he actually do?

That’s like borderline fraud.

Damn this actually pisses me off. I thought he was a bad recruiter because of his weird quirky behavior or lack of charisma or something. I could of accepted that. But this is just fricking outright laziness.

Hell Hugh Freeze was skirting the NCAA contact hour rules by playing COD on Xbox live so he could chat with recruits.

And this sumbitch can’t even get a damned text out.

I believe it. His ego is so big I could see him thinking that recruiting is beneath him.

Not something Mullen said but it does seem as tho someone let it out of the bag. If so he should have caught on pretty fast and corrected it.

I'm not happy about this either if it is true.

It's sll for nothing now Mullen is gone. So lets get over this and move on and hope Napier can Salvage this Class and have a top 5 class next year.

I appreciate Dan for his efforts at UF. 3/4 NY6 bowls speaks for itself imo.

It does - but how last season ended, and how this year went, really hurt the perception of the program, and tactics like this (if true) really destroys recruiting.
