So it appears he's scared to coach in the SEC one way or another. Not going to LSU is one thing but his status quo was Oklahoma. That's a better job than USC and they can easily pay what he desires plus it's better financially from a tax standpoint.
Looks like he Conceded he has an easier shot to the playoff in the Pac 12 than the SEC (which he currently enjoys in the Big 12)

So that should tell you that LSU didn’t offer him. If usc offered 8 million and LSU offered 12 mill plus factor in cali tax rate, Riley is turning down 5 to 6 million? I highly doubt it

Stoops handed him a proven winner and I think he got scared we don’t want a coach like that if true . We will get a coach as good or better that will turn our defense around .
