According to USA TODAY’s report on which college coaches could collect bonuses in this final month of the season, Bryan Harsin should be set for a $50,000 bonus for earning a sixth win during his first season on The Plains.

I guess it could have been higher.

If there were justice in the world, he'd lose $1,000 for every point of the lead he blew against MSU and USCe.

He should forfeit that bonus for losing to Miss State at home with a 25 point lead. Hell he should start shopping his resume

What kind of loser program are we running for giving bonuses for 6 wins?

Is Mrs Harsin the one who down voted me???

My God I'm tired of this sentiment.
I believe in what he's trying to do and what he did in the off season, and I believe he has some of those Saban-like qualities, but it just won't get here in a season. The fanbase was all clamoring and saying before Harsin was a rumor that the next coach will need time and not to expect results the first year or maybe even the second. Yet, here those same fans are expecting a championship after 6 wins (before we got the last 3 losses). I mean I was hopeful for them, but everyone knew of the inconsistencies we exhibited even with those wins, and expected more.
I think him given 3 full years with the right coordinators and hopefully the right recruits that fit the system that makes sense he could be fine.
Saturday will determine a lot about what happens with the program, and I hope he's not dumb enough to take the Washington job. He said repeatedly this competition in the SEC is why he came here, why would he go to lame PAC 12 competition? The biggest competition he would face would be Oregon, and maybe one of these each year WSU/UCLA/USCw

Don’t waste your time, you won’t get anywhere with it.

It should be P5 win based.

How does 6 wins come up in a contract negotiation
Who ever agree to that needs fired.

You realize how negotiations work right?…

I don’t know I’d rather 8 be the starting point.

Put it this way: AU’s paying Gustav >$50k every week through December 2024.
I think we can afford it.

Nobody was expecting a championship this season, but there is no way they shouldn’t have at least went 8-4 or 9-3.

What was your prediction before the season? Link if possible.

What percentage of coaches have this in their contract?

It's probably more for each win after and including 6 and not just 6.

Conceptually, I like the concept, but at a school like Auburn, even 7-5 is really a losing record...you have 3 practice games/gimme wins on your schedule every year (GA State, ahem) so you only have to win 3 of the remaining 9 conference and P5 games to get to 6-6, and 4 of 9 to get to 7-5. In Academic terms, 6-6 or worse is an "F", 7-5 is probably "D" level work, 8-4 is "C", 9-3 "B", and 10-2 or better is "A".
The floor for acceptable and bonus payouts should be 8-4.
