we have to beat Bama & win the SEC

Cincy wins out; they are the 4 seed

Cincy loses & Notre Dame wins out; we get the Irish

if we win the SEC; this will be a very fun playoff...

Way too early to tell but either would be a great draw for us in the first round.

I’m hoping Ohio State gets knocked out and a big 12 team makes it’s way in

Everyone would be talking about how Cincinnati gave us fits in the Peach Bowl, but anybody who expects a potential rematch to play out the same way isn’t taking the conversation seriously. Georgia did not care about being in that Peach Bowl and it was Cincinnati’s game of the century.

You get this Georgia defense again in a playoff game and it will be a fricking slaughter.

Would we want the Orange or the Cotton. I say Cotton as it is a light years better facility and bigger. Long ways to either.

We far and away want the Orange Bowl over the Cotton. Assuming we beat Bama, that’s what we will pick.

I contend that the Ultimate Path to Dawg Salvation:

-Clobber Bama in SECCG by 3 scores

-Throttle Cincinatti in CFP semi

-Shut down tOSU's "vaunted" offense in CFP championship game

-Hoist golden beer tap in Indy

We being who?

Fans, sure. Of course miami is more fun. If I'm kirby I want dallas all day unless we're playing OU. There are faaaaaar less distractions in friggin irving texas than there are in south beach. I know this team seems to have "it" mentally but the less distractions the better. And heck, if OU is in the playoffs somehwere and not playing against us, that's yet anothe reason to pick dallas to force them to go to miami.

May be one of the more interesting final college playoff runs…

Bama-in if they win out and beat UGA

Oregon-has to beat Utah..twice. They are giving them the edge on Ohio State..for now. Win out they are in.

Cincinnati-just has to win and hope Okstate doesn’t sneak in or Bama beat UGA

OKstate-Strong argument if they beat OK and Baylor. Win conference. Would they go ahead of Cincinnati?

Ohio State-Michigan-Mich State-one has to prevail with only one loss after playing Wisconsin? In championship.

Notre Dame- could still get in if Big 10 doesn’t end with 1 loss team and not OkState prevails in Big 12

Wake-longest of shots. Has to hope Pitt wins out and chaos ahead of them.

I believe so based on precedent. If you're a 12-1 P5 champion it would take somethign reeeeeally wonky for you to not make the playoffs, and I don't think a G5 team going undefeeated is wonky enough.

I tend to agree OKstate winning out gets in over Cincinnati. Notre Dame is propping them up.

Still not sure how good Ohio State is..we will see the next two weeks. Oregon hasn’t impressed me at all and made them look bad.

We being the University of Georgia. Schools pick destinations that are easiest for the school and fans to get to and as difficult as possible for the opposing school. The #1 seed in the CFP gets to choose where they want to go. It would make zero sense for us to go to Dallas.

if we're picking where to play based on fans kirby isn't as shrewd as we'd like to think

it would make a lot of sense for the main reason I alreayd mentioned. Do you not recall stories in the past of players slipping out of their rooms down to bourbon street on sugar bowl trips? It happens. if our ultimate goal is to be focused and win the game, which I'm sure it is, it makes more logical sense to play in a nice heated dome in a boring town with nothing to do opposed to playing outside in december in a town known for its hot women and nightlife. IDGAF if it's harder for our fans to get to.

Friend of mine who is a APD officer told me the weekend of the NC game in '18 was a complete zoo at the players hotel (Marriott Marquis I believe) Said women were
coming and going at all hours and 2 guys were arrested and subsequently let go at Magic City.

Take it FWIW but this guy had no reason to exaggerate or lie

There is a reason we went to the Holiday Inn in Madison before home games.

I 100% believe it. Give me Irving all day over Miami. Imagine looking back 20 years from now if we lose the first round of the playoffs and destroy this dream season but saying "yeah it was a nightmare with half the team suspended or hungover and ruined maybe the best year we've ever had, but man us fans sure had a great time!"

I did hear some of those stories about '18 and the Sugar Bowl the next year did get back to the staff and they've run a much tighter ship for the post season since then but I'd obviously not want to risk it with so much on the line and I also believe we have a fair amount of guys from the Miami area
