that was exactly why I said OU does not seem to be worried about losing Riley. Huepel may be their plan b. Only thing is B Stoops fired him several yrs ago so not sure if he would take it.

Heupel wont have anything to do with OU as long as Stoops is still close to the athletic department.

Bob couldn't fire his own brother so he made Josh the scapegoat for the entire situation.

I hope Josh does well Tennessee actually.

There is zero chance Heupel goes back. I don’t think he wants to come back and I don’t think he’d be welcomed. If Riley does leave I think Joe C goes opposite of Riley and goes for a tougher, defensive minded coach. The biggest issue with the Baylor game is Riley abandoned the run. Every time there was a big gain on the ground, he went to the air next play. To play in the SEC, you MUST have ball control and be able to run it. OU will have plenty of options if he goes
