Was the flag thrown (meaning did the foul occur) before the ball was tipped?

It was clean in my opinion if with the tip, our guy was close but did not make appreciable contact.
More aggregous was UTs holding both our interior line and guys on the outside.

I thought that Bowers' sideline catch was good. Brock switched hands but I didn't see a bobble.

Then he shouldn't have switched hands. On a sideline play like that, there's no room for wishy washiness, any movement in slow motion is going to be called an incomplete pass, 9/10 times, I have seen it all year with all teams.

The one I'm still butthurt over is the PI call on the sideline when their receiver was the one throwing our DB down.
Receiver snagged the ball after throwing our guy to the turf. But they call it on us.

Bowers’ was close, but no way it could be overturned in that situation where it was originally called incomplete.

I didn't dvr this one, but was it the play where our defender actually held the receiver around the waist right out of the break to slow him down, prior to the receiver retaliating by throwing our guy down?

This play had OPI written all over it

Bad call. And our guy was already occupying the space the wr would have needed to catch the ball. Plus it was tipped.

Georgia’s DL was getting tackled the whole game

Meanwhile thats 5 in a row over the Vols. Should be 6 except for the dumb penalty getting them close enough for the hail mary.

Correct, there was fighting on both sides but I guess they got us on the hold and decided to ignore the throw down

Bad view. What occurred before that? Many times the defender holds before the pass is thrown early in the route. If so, it should have been called defensive holding, not PI.

In a different issue concerning bad calls, was it OK for the TN speaker system to blair noise/music/sound effects when GA was on offense - even right up to the moment the ball was snapped? They did not do the same when TN was on offense. Can someone please explain the rules?

The official rule is 1-1-6 in the NCAA Rulebook.
Persons subject to the rules, including bands and audio/video/lighting systems operators, shall not create any noise or distraction that prohibits a team from hearing its signals or obstructs play (Rule 1-1-6).
PENALTY [5]—Unsportsmanlike conduct. The referee may take any action they consider equitable, which includes directing that the down be repeated, including assessing a 15-yard penalty, awarding a score, or suspending or forfeiting the game [S27].
In reality I’ve only ever seen it enforced as a warning and a 15 yard penalty if it doesn’t stop.

Also, I’m still chapped over the grounding call offsetting the horse collar on Stetson.
I know they probably followed the rules as they are written, but it seems ridiculous to me to enforce the grounding call considering the grounding was a direct result of Stetson being dragged down by the back of his pads. If he isn’t dragged down like that he’d easily sail the ball past the LOS and he was outside the tackle box

This. Even Danielson said that was a garbage call. He said it should have been offensive PI or just a no call.
