Recent UGA-flip adds more fuel to Florida’s perceived lack of recruiting

SIAP
While IMO it’s not necessarily uncommon to have a different position coach as your primary, these type of comments still seem to be coming at a bad time with the recent heat on Mullen.

The Dawgs pulled off a big flip in the 2023 class on Thursday morning in four-star wideout Raymond Cottrell.
Cottrell had been a Florida commit since late July.

I just hate it for them.

Former UF commit Julian Humphrey is committing soon too I believe and UGA is the favorite. You just HATE to see it

My position coach didn't recruit me and it ended by CFB career after one year.
Never got along from day 1 and he was only familiar with me through game film.

Interesting. I know they typically work territories, but you’d think the actual position coach would still be involved at some point (as a group effort), especially on 4 and 5-star recruits.

Listen if it is not on Game Day, Mullen dont care.

What did he expect? It's football season, not recruiting season.

That quote he made sounds more like the ramblings of a scorned woman after an afternoon of watching Oprah...
"We just had no communication. He never talked to me or shared things with me. We never cuddled. I mean, he just took me for granted."
New term: Athletic Fragility

Sounds high maintenance to me but I'm not saying that UF doesn't have a recruiting problem under Mullen.

I think recruits can sense when there is smoke and they see a way out or blame it on the smoke.

Just gave a clear explanation as to why he flipped and you come with this garbage.

I don’t know about that, I think were on the right track with our recruiting …

Mullen is such a train wreck. There’s no reason UF shouldn’t be recruiting at or near UGA level.

Mullen is a horrible recruiter. He's creepy-weird. Great offensive coach--but just too weird to be a successful HC at an elite program. Plus his wife is weird in a creepy way too. Alway hugging and kissing on the players like she's their mother or some weird crap. Cringy people.
