It so far away from everyone else and if UF is the end of the sec footprint geographically then its another 90 minutes from gainesville opposite direction of every other sec school.

They did it in Tampa around 10 years or so ago.

I’m not mad cause it’s 2.5 hours from me but would rather in just be in Nashville every year

Is Tampa not a fun place? When I was in Florida all the Tampa people swore by it, I figured it was a cleaner less fun Nola with a nice beach.

To me basketball fans are driving to games and its a long way from Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kentucky to Tampa by car.

I guesz they want to depend on the alumni in florida and those willing to try to fly during a pandemic with massive cancellations and potential sick outs.

Tampa has become a fun place. Lots of people moving there. Lots of beautiful women, possibly even safer than Nashville now and 35 min from St. Pete Beach. Flights to Tampa are pretty cheap as well

It should stay in Nashville though

Airports were dead in, like, April 2020. They've been busy ever since and the difference between pre-pandemic is almost indiscernible at this point.

Accept for the massive cancellations and routes are still lower than prepandemic levels.

Ahhh I see. Yeh I mean the pictures of the city look cool, I'm sure that's like the LSU --> Nola for events and parties and UF --> Tampa for students doing the same.

Not as as nice as South Walton beaches, that's for sure.

Tampa:
Full nude strip clubs, Bern's Steak House, Golf courses galore, and high quality cigars.

Nashville:
hot chicken, bachelorette parties, and honky-tonk bars

Why do you think a bunch of old guys picked Tampa?

Tampa doesn't actually have beaches anyway.

The one thing it has going for it is the weather is better than Nashville in March.

I used to live in Tampa (now Miami) and I love that place. Think of it as a early vacation and just fly down for a basketball/beach weekend

That's kind of silly considering there are probably 10-20 beaches within 20 minutes.
