That's bad news. He needs to go.

Did we give him a raise too? Hell we're ranked 64 preseason: No tourney

Keith has made up and down decisions. I feel like we're gonna be another bubble team on the outside looking in again... don't know how he did it in 2019

He made the tourny his first year and missed the next. Currently at a 50% clip and that's more than what we had with Kennedy.
So to say he needs to go is pretty reactionary(I'm putting it nicely).
But he ABSOLUTELY does not deserve an extension and raise after last year.

I honestly think this guy doesn't care he just tries to get in the ncaa tournament. Repeat.
We have only made the Big Dance nine times and there have been 82 tournaments. We have an all-time losing record. We are probably the worst basketball program in the conference, historically speaing. I don't know what y'all are expecting.

No doubt.

Plus, if you don’t give your coach an extended contract of some sort, it is of course viewed as a vote of no confidence and this can very much affect recruiting.

If we can consistently make March Madness under him, we need to build him a friggin' statute.

What we are expecting is to not accept failure. If we don't have expectations, what was the new basketball stadium for? Graduation ceremonies on rainy days.

Kermit hasn't failed. He is 51-42 (26-28) in three seasons, including the Covid season. AK didn't make the Big Dance until his seventh season. Be patient.

Patience is going to be a must for our basketball teams, or we will be letting coaches go at our own expense every two or three years and we still won't see any improvement to speak of.

The women's side is looking very promising from a couple years ago

If we still played is the Tad Pad and didn’t build a practice facility I wouldn’t mind as much. But we have spent $$$ with nothing to show for it.

11.1% of our total NCAA tournament berths have happened since the Pavilion opened. Be patient.

Well, I can agree that if we still played in Tad Smith and had no practice facility to speak of we'd also have zero expectations. We'd also be the laughing stock of the SEC and most of the country with little to no hope of ever putting together decent basketball programs.

Isn't it pretty common to keep coaches on 4-yr contracts for recruiting purposes? If the buyout isn't bad can always get rid of him early
