Just heard on the radio today that UGA is going into the board room to draw up plans for a new indoor track facility, new baseball field, and to add more seats and boxes to bring Sanford stadium to just over 100k seats. They want to add about 10k seats but not close in the stadium on the south side(i think it's the south side). The stadium arms race is on! They already are at 92,700. Would love to see the upper bowl closed in on Tiger Stadium...talk about some noise!

I can't wait till we go over the 100k threshold.

So there can be even more empty seats for the games that people don't deem good enough to go to?

LSU needs to renovate Tiger Stadium before they add on again. We badly need a new sound system, new jumbotron, renovated bathrooms and concession areas, and an exterior overhaul. Supposedly, some of these things are in the works, so we'll have to wait and see. The biggest stadium doesn't equal the loudest or the best, case in point the Big House or Neyland Stadium.

Maybe we should send a consortium of analysts to UGA to find out what their secret is...I just can't figure out what they do to sell out every game of every year...I'm so tired of being the only div-1a college that has empty seats...we suck!

This is true, but in the case of Tiger Stadium it's supposed to be because of the steep angle of the seating that keeps the sound in the stadium longer...so, closing in the ends might keep the sound from getting out sooner and therefore make it louder. Not necessarily wanting seats for the number of people- Just sayin'

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for an expansion, if it adds more seats and not just luxury boxes. I just think that LSU needs to address those other issues first.

Neyland is a dump. I'll tailgate and party in K-ville all day and night long but I ain't stepping in that toliet again.

Amen Ramp. My first visit there in 2001 (Hobnail Boot) was a big disappointment. I think I missed half a quarter in line to the bathroom. It needs to be revamped to REALLY hold 100k+ fans.

So you're saying it's really not a good idea to be in that place if there ever was a fire or need to exit quickly?
