It will be closer if we actually TRY to run the dang ball

It will be closer if our line can actually block to open holes to run the ball through. Running into walls is not the recipe for successful running.

Ole Miss isn’t known for running the ball, and they ran all over Arkansas last week.

Penn State never stopped the run.

I want to register a prediction on this game, I really do. But every time I try to type it out, a devil on my shoulder says, "Wait. Gus is gone. This team beats LSU in Baton Rouge, but loses to fkn Arkansas."

Hope that little bastard is wrong.

I’ve been encouraged by this year and I don’t feel like we are that bad. If we can fix the drops we will be okay. We hung with Penn State and could’ve hung with Georgia. 27-24 Auburn.

The thing is Ole Miss can throw the ball and we can’t. Arkansas will load the box and it’s hard to beat 8 v 5

Like I said, Ole Miss hasn’t run the ball like that on anyone though.

They almost ran for 200 against Louisville and they ran for 300+ on their two cupcakes. Outside of Alabama, they’ve actually run the ball pretty well this year.

Albeit their running game seems more finesse and finding space oriented but Jerrion, Snoop Connor, and Corral can pick up good chunk yardage on the ground. How we deal with Arkansas’s quarterback when he runs will be a tell of how we might be able to handle Corral.

Rig is right though, if we can’t complete passes then it’s 8-9 in the box.
