Ending of LSU/Auburn Game?

I just watched the replay on SECNetwork, I haven't heard anybody talking about the incomplete pass at 1:20 in the 4th quarter but to me it looked like the receiver had posession and was down by contact in-bounds before the fumble. I'm not saying LSU would have won but if that was my team I'd be pissed.

Nah. It was incomplete.

They want to lose to get rid of O.

That’s not how that works. He has to maintain possession through hitting the ground, not just when he touches the ground.

I think that's why nobody was complaining, they are so determined to fire O that they are ok with the result because it helps them get him out the door.

IDK how it works on a catch but normally the ground can't cause a fumble. I guess I can see why the ground can cause an incompletion because he didn't gain control long enough to call it a catch.

and there is the reason for the overturn. it was plain as day that he didnt maintain control

Here you go LINK
“If a player goes to the ground in the act of catching a pass (with or without contact by an opponent) he must maintain complete and continuous control of the ball throughout the process of contacting the ground, whether in the field of play or in the end zone. This is also required for a player attempting to make a catch at the sideline and going to the ground out of bounds. If he loses control of the ball which then touches the ground before he regains control, it is not a catch. If he regains control inbounds prior to the ball touching the ground it is a catch.”

lookie here sheep herder. LSUers don't need an excuse to bitch about calls, bobbling interceptions, holding, etc. that cost them a game. It is a religion with them, try to keep up. So... why would you poke this ant-hill? Do you want years and years of "PP was inbounds?" or something? kindly just STFU.

Nobody complained, because the refs got the call right.
