I run a hunting/fishing camp in extreme South Arkansas, 20 minutes north of El Dorado.
We have plenty of deer, hogs, turkeys and coyotes. Obviously, squirrels and rabbits, too.
We've had our membership drop for reasons having nothing to do with hunting/fishing. Death, cancer, Alzheimer's, etc.
To keep our place viable, we need a couple or three new members.
We lease about 500 acres and have access to about 100 acres more. We have a cabin with electricity, water, AC and heat. We have access to high-speed internet of all things.
Anyone looking for a place, let me know.

Our place isn't fancy by any means, but we've said for a long time it's the best deal going.

The pricing depends on how many members we have.
Our expenses run about $5,000 — $3,400 for the lease; $200 for property taxes on the cabin site; $1,000 or so for electricity; if we add the internet, will add another $1,000.
We aren't trying to build up a stash. We are simply trying to pay the bills each year.
And, I will say Dad and I are willing to kick in more, because this place is special to us, and we want to keep it going.
That said, if we add two members, we are looking at somewhere in the neighborhood of $750 for the new members.
That gets full hunting rights and a bed in the cabin.

Do you have rules, pics, responsibilities, etc?
Are we considered a tenured user/owner after a period of time?
thanks

We lease most of our land from a timber company. It's mostly pine and pine thicket, but there are several hardwood areas.
We aren't big on rules. I suppose I would say we really only have three. We each maintain our own hunting places, and we don't hunt someone else's place unless given permission. And when there is work to do on the cabin or whatever, we like everybody to pitch in. Finally, we aren't looking for folks who shoot everything that walks out. We typically take no more than three deer a year.
For more information, aerials of our tracts, etc. , email me rickfahr@yahoo.com.

I don't know what a "tenured" user/owner is. Every member has a voice in what we do, but understand that my name is on the papers. So, I supposed my voice is a bit louder, if that makes sense.

Excellent hunting down there. I am originally from right across the Ouachita from El Dorado and grew up hunting all over that area. Good luck finding a few guys for your lease man.

Guessing you're close to Camden, with land a bit off Hwy 7?

Our least is south-southwest of Hampton. As the crow flies, probably 10 miles. I can send images by email.

And I should note any new member will have to get along with Molly, my blackmouth cur.
Hint: Slide her a Slim Jim now and then, and y'all are good.
