I don't see how we keep Elko now

Fisher blamed the defense for the loss today. That's the same garbage that Slocum did when his defense underperformed, which ran Bob Toledo off.
If it weren't for the defense, we lose 45-10 instead of 20-10.

He said something along the lines of the defense gave up too many yards in the first half and didn't give us good enough field position in the second.

I mean FFS, against New Mexico Cooper intercepted a pass at the NM 20 resulting in ZERO points.

Not going to happen. Jimbo runs the offense and has called all the plays as HC. The day he gives up the play calling duties is the day he no longer is the HC.

Where did he say what you claim he said? You make it seem like he blamed the entire game on the defense, but he didn't actually do that.

He blamed the defense for not putting the offense in good field position. This offense could start in their opponent's 10 and manage to fail to score.

Neither of which we will have until mid-2022 at the absolute earliest if we are lucky.
By that time, the defense will be the problem since Fisher will run Elko off.

I went back and listened to the post game and I didn’t hear anything wrong with what Fisher said in regards to the defense
Only thing I thought was or could be considered a shot at Elko and the defense is that we need to tackle better and he’s 100% right

Fisher needs to fix his fricking offense before he even looks at Elko. A&M has been held below 7 first half points 7 times under Fisher. They're 1-6 in those games with Colorado being the only win.

That play calling was atrocious. I get that the o-line is trash and calzada has a one-look-pass mentality but there's no excuse for 4.2 yards per passing play. Give the kid a shot down field. The two times I can remember us trying beyond 10 yards wydemyer dropped them both.
