I think today was the first step for Auburn's downfall in the SEC West. Auburn hasn't been a great program when it comes to recruiting, but has benefited from some great players, coaching, and lucky calls that have resulted in them being a top SEC team. Today, though, may have begun the downward spiral.

It was clear today that LSU was on another level talent wise. Auburn simply didn't have the players at any position to match up with LSU, aside from Oline and Dline. They were the team that faultered to end the LSU/AU home streak. Now, with Bama looking good and dominating in state recruiting, it could be bad for Auburn. People will soon be calling for Tubby's head again, and maybe even for the OC, after an anemic looking offense thus far.

The way things look now, this year could be the year they lose to Bama too. Both LSU and Bama have more talented players, and now one team has already shaken the psychological hurdle that came with playing at Auburn. If Bama beats Auburn this year, welcome to 3rd in the West.

Auburn will always be a contender for the SEC west... You've gotta put their recent struggles in perspective. They just lost by 5 pts. to the defending National Champions.... Auburn is a tough opponent, that will linger and never go away.

I agree, but their days of having a 50% shot of going to the SECCG are over. They are soon going to be what Bama has been recently (an SEC west contender every few years)

Every school goes through that... Ask the 1990's LSU teams.

I hate Auburn, but they'll be back.

If Saban stays at Bama for any real period of time I think Tubs might fall to 3rd-4th in the West

Petrino with Mallet will turn into a decent team at Arky

Nutt is already showing improvement at Ole Miss

We won in the final 1:30 this year, the final 00:01 last year - I think you are wildly over-stating.

the only reason we beat Auburn this year is depth

Auburn will be a force in the West for years.

Depth is something AU doesn't really have. They were severly overmatched physically all game. We shot ourselves in the foot until it was close.

I'll tell you one thing. The future for LSU looks brighter then ever. Jarrett Lee is going to be a star once he isn't green anymore. He made some fantastic throws once he got settled. We are going to be a mother to beat.

OK, lower case L looks like an I once you submit it for some reason. Strange, it doesn't look that way in the text box.

I was waiting for you to say "j/k". Their 'lesser' talent seems to give our 'better' talent hell every year. Auburn is not going anywhere.
