McClain will be out the first half due to the targeting call.

I haven't heard. What's Pappoe's injury?

He's going to be hungrier than ever. Can't wait to see him run over dudes twice his size.

Folks have spotted Pappoe in a boot around campus, whatever that’s worth

Let Owen Pappoe sit, heal and get ready going forward.

We need him ready for SEC play.

I am sure that is where this will end up going anyway.

I think Pappoe rolled an ankle during the Penn State game. Obviously, it was bad enough that he couldn't get back in a big game, so I'm sure it's pretty swollen. I think we hold him out this week and he is ready against LSU.

Such bs, but at least it’s a good time for him to be out. Gives the young bucks an opportunity

Is there any review of targetings post game?

I’ve never seen one that I really disagreed with until this one.

McClain had his head up, led with shoulder, on a runner actively reaching to score.

This is what we wanted to have players do. See what they hit. Not helmet to helmet.

Really? About half of then are questionable at best.

I probably don’t watch as much football as others.

All I know is most of the time for it to be upheld at minimum the facemask of the tackler is pointed to the ground.

Many are called because the ball carrier lowered his self which made the helmets collide, but according to the rule “contact initiated with the crown of the helmet” I can see how they have to call that.

This one was really different. Ball carrier reaching for goal line(not defenseless), tackler keeping eyes up, contact with shoulder.

It was a bad call, however, it does not mean that all targeting calls are bad.

They need “levels” for targeting.

I agree.

We also really need a very healthy team after this game. October looks fricking brutal.
