Rams:

Stafford
Michel
Leonard Floyd
Bench: JR Reed

Bears:

Ogletree
Roquan

Of course, Fields if the Bears coach decides he wants to win this game.

If you’re bored.

True, it's not like they're playing for a title in this game.

It's good to see Nagy struggle even more than Kirby did with the decision to play Fields. Might eventually mask/overtake Kirby's decision as time moves forward, RE: the narrative.

I mean Jesus Christ why even start Dalton? Because you "made a promise to him in March"? It's the NFL, not the local rec league. Dalton is washed as hell and Fields doesn't need to be coddled, just let him learn in the fire like any of the other rookie QBs starting.

The Rams are about the last defense you want a rookie making his first career start against. That defense is salty.

Was Michel hurt? I don't remember seeing him and looked it up, one carry for 2 yards.

Learning curve with that McVay offense?

They are a great defense, but I'm solidly on the "start em now" train with high round rookie QBs. It made some sense when the Chiefs did it with Alex Smith and Pat Mahomes, but it makes no sense to me to waste Fields' time with Andy Dalton in front of him.

I agree with this. I'd start him against Cincinnati next week but I can understand wanting Dalton to take one for the team against the Rams.

Much like Kirby, Nagy wanted a game manager that wouldn't turn the ball over against a strong D. Dalton more than did his job...the defense sucked.
