This gives me chills man. So fricking cool. Cannot wait to see the War Eagle flight in person (just before we beat that Tiger arse*)
Flight of the eagle, BCSCG 2011
* no Tulane mentions and no melts please

We love it too. Thanks for that. Not sure there are many traditions better than the eagle flying over the stadium!!

One of my favorite things in the SEC. Pretty awesome to see in person.

No one was gonna bring up Tulane in an Auburn thread anyways.
He played himself.

You’ll be just like your other Big12 brethren. You’ll beat Auburn once every 5 years

Agreed, great tradition.
I’ve actually seen it from the field before. Pretty badass to see it circle down and land just a few yards away. (They go for a little leather pouch on the ground.)

That's not actually one of Auburn's eagles.
The only time an AU eagle has flown at a sporting event outside of JHS was the opening ceremonies of the Salt Lake Olympics.
I think Auburn is the only place that flies both golden and bald eagles (and may be the only place to fly goldens) but there are a couple of other raptor centers that fly bald eagles at events. One is the raptor center at Dollywood. I want to say they are responsible for the eagle that flew at the World Series in Yankee Stadium in 2001.

As an Alabama fan I have to agree, one of the coolest things I have seen!
Did I hear something about Spirit retiring?

I'm surprised an Alabama fan has not shot it out of the air by now. You know they have thought about it.

Harvey didn't have enough money to get a gun nor a chainsaw

It’s really past time they started allowing guns into the iron bowl.

It's literally the only cool thing about Auburn.

They'd rather just kill their families and neighbors after a Tahd loss.

Pretty cool they were able to get him to land while that flag was on the field. Usually they clear the field off and let him land in the middle. Always special to watch.
