It was a helluva game...I remember watching it on TV. Nebraska won, and was I there to see them beat the hell out of Alabama in the Orange Bowl to win the Natty. Oklahoma finished #2 by beating Auburn in the Sugar Bowl. Also, Colorado made it a #1, #2, and #3 sweep in the year end AP @ UPI polls for the Big-8.

Yes. They were ranked 1 and 2. Nebraska won 35-31 in Norman as Oklahoma had fumble issues out of the wishbone. Alabama beat Auburn two days later and they were ranked 3 and 5 going into the Iron Bowl.

Nebraska beat Alabama 38-6 in the Orange Bowl and Oklahoma beat Auburn 40-22 in the Sugar Bowl.

One of the best games I've ever seen. Johnny Rodgers was legit.
