It’s not binary. It’s about reduction of risk. Someone who has had COVID can get it again, and vaccinated people can get it, too. But both having had and having been vaccinated reduces the risk.

Ah, now we are getting somewhere. Those goalposts just keep moving. Yes, if I get the jab after having Covid it may reduce my risk of having more severe symptoms. Odds are though that since I have antibodies, while I may get Covid again it is less likely to be severe.
I also know you can get it if you are vaxxed, most people who have it now are vaxxed and don't even know it. My Mom is the safest, mask wearing person you will find and got the vax very early and she got Covid.
So once again, what the hell are we accomplishing here? Maybe reducing symptoms for people? That's worth all this nightmare to force everyone to get the shot?
That makes as much sense as vaxxed people fearing non vaxxed people with no symptoms.

Guess what? You can get Covid again if you had Covid or if you got the vax. Odds are if you have had it your symptoms will be less the second time but not always. Same with the shots. Everyone is different and it is complex. Still the same basic science of getting the shot vs getting the actual disease is the same, creating antibodies to get your immune system to fight the disease.
That of course doesn't even count faulty tests and the fact most people who have had Covid have very mild symptoms and often don't know they had it.
We also have very little idea of the long term effects of Covid or the vax, at least from a real scientific perspective.
As much as people try to simplify this disease it doesn't work that way. That's another reason people should be able to make their own choices.
