It happens during changes. If Harsin is the guy then it'll be worth it. If not they'll enter a Tennessee type cycle until they find the right guy.
I’m not sure Auburn gives him enough time, and I’m not sure he can recruit well enough if they do.
Who are they going to line up against and over power in this league?

This is the money quote. Auburn folks are batshit crazy. They're not giving anyone time to "get the right guys" for his system. He'd better win and win now.

I saw an interesting perspective on Harsin's recruiting from a guy on Reddit who I am pretty sure works for one of the recruiting websites. He's an Alabama fan too, so it's definitely not sunshine pumping. The gist of it was that Harsin wants to run a program similar to what Dave Clawson has at Wake Forest or Pat Fitzgerald has at Northwestern, and his recruiting has gone pretty well so far based on what kind of player he wants to sign. He doesn't want kids with big egos or an eye on the NFL from the day they step on campus. Just kids who really want to be there and plan to stay and work hard for 4 years.
Personally I just don't see that working out in the SEC though.

I always love this narrative.
Here are some facts......
Alabama has had 27 coaches in their history.
Auburn has had 27 coaches in their history.
Since bear.......
Alabama has had 7 coaches
Auburn has had 7 coaches.
