Why?

Do you realize your life has taken a wrong turn when this is what you dream up?

According to an article I read earlier, Aggie isn't even top 15 in college football.

It doesn't matter how much money you have, it matters how much you spend.

My understanding is, they bring in similar money, but Texas has more money. And both LSU and Texas get more viewership. Had to throw us in there

Endowments, Texas by far. Over double A&M's endowment. A&M is around #8 for total endowment and roughly double of the next SEC team Vanderbilt.

From an athletic dept revenue angle, they are about the same. Texas usually makes a little more but spends a lot more. For the last several years Texas and A&M have been #1 and #2 for athletic dept revenue.

Doesn’t matter. It’s 1a and 1b in this conference.

Actually, it doesn’t matter how much money you have, it matters if you’re spending it on quality shite or not.

I don't disagree with that.

When it comes to Texas, you'll find their fans are always talking about how much money they have, how they can buy this if they want to, or they can buy that if they want to. According to Texas fans, they have the money to buy everything.

The thing is, they never actually do it. Did they go out and spend a record deal for an established coach the way Alabama did with Saban? Nope, they went out and paid about average money for a good OC, but failed former HC.

Real answer:

Athletics-

Texas then Georgia by a margin of $30+M then it drops another $30M to the next tier of SEC programs.

University endowments-

Vandy then Texas by a spread of $3B, The next tier is under half of Texas and pretty much lumped together with Auburn, South Carolina and the MS schools lagging further behind.

The revenue & endowment reports you see listed online are fluffed up with *'s galore.
