Tennessee players vacated the end zone quickly after each TD. Students throwing every piece of ice they could find.

I'm so glad that is a tradition that faded away. I remember games in the 80's that would be raining cups, ice, shakers, mini bottles whatever every time someone scored in the student section corner of the endzone.

However, late 80's Tennessee fans probably deserve it they were miserable to be around. The 26-26 Tie their fans were trying to tear the chain link fencing off when all the visiting fans used to be in the northeast endzone. Have to admit I threw my share of soda on those idiots.

I was in the damn band in the student section end-zone 1980-84 and outside of a number of students stupidly throwing some oranges vs. Tennessee ("The Big Orange") and some tiny Milkbones VS. UGA, I don't know what the hell you are talking about.

How heavy were you drinking then? Were you the one that was doing the throwing then, ergo it excused your behavior a little bit because it was (if someone believes your tall tales) "raining" stuff? Because it wasn't.

(P.S. This is excluding the 1986 UGA DSOR where the shite-frick UGA fans on the field and in the stands got everything they deserved.)

(P.S.S. And ignoring the fact that one of those old wooden-stick paper shakers might travel all of 10 feet if you tried to throw one. And cups? Empty ones don’t go very far when thrown. And full ones? They are self-controlling because you piss off everyone around you when you drench them with your soda/cocktail.)
