Haha I knew I would get these responses. I'm sick of the narrative that we came begging on our knees, it's inaccurate. We could've gone anywhere we wanted conference wise, that's not arrogant, it's just a fact based on the circumstances of the college landscape. Eltife put out that we're looking to make a move and the guys in Birmingham were all for it. No begging required

Yes, we wanted to go to the SEC because that's where the best is. Believe it or not, we think we can be the best... we're not just here for a paycheck. It's laughable when y'all compare our football culture to the PAC 12. Despite half the school being really gay, we have a die hard fanbase and we've been waiting for too damn long.

We are going to get bitched at for whatever we did with the SEC chant, we're hypocrites or snobs. Don't care, we enjoy being hated. It will just make us all that more intriguing to your recruits

The only reason this came about was the NIL ruling. Texas would have never in a million years joined the SEC otherwise...They already lived through the rampant cheating in the SWC, and the old money folks at Texas viewed some of the SEC schools in the same light as those schools in the SWC..They had really bad memories of everything that went down in the SWC..

Maybe some of those old folks have died off now and there is new money with different views, but the NIL ruling definitely played a role in this decision...Without that NIL ruling, Texas would have probably told OU sayonara if they wanted to join the SEC, and they would have joined the BIG with Kansas or someone else..

We, the fans, are the only ones with wet dreams about joining the SEC, the people running the show at Texas not so much until recently with the changes in college football..
