Which is the real UT? Too confusing.

How do we handle this? Is UT Tennessee or Texas? Is Tennessee UT and Texas UTjr? Or do call them UTe and UTw? UTk and UTa? tUT?
Not looking for a way to insult either one. As aUSC alum, I’m cool with USCe and USCw but USCjr pisses me off.

Texas is Texas. Or UT
Tennessee is UTk or Utenn
Tennessee is UTk or Utenn

Texas is UT, we are a better program. UTK hasn't been relevant since the manning years. They bring nothing to the table.

TN was here first so them. Texas is LBH (Little Big Horn)

Keep it simple
UT - Tennessee
tu - Texas
UT - Tennessee
tu - Texas

Texas = UT (Texas owns the trademark and came to an agreement with Tennessee for them to use it East of the Mississippi.
Tennessee = UT
Both have a legal claim to it.
That being said, it is confusing no matter what.. Simple solution that is a fair compromise for all..
Texas = TX, but we prefer Texas
Tennessee = TN
Aggie will still use tu and that is fine.. but it silly for anyone else to use that one.. but whatever floats your boat.

This has already been settled. Tennessee is UT. Texas is tu or just Texas. They haven’t earned the right to be UT on here.

Everyone knows who USC is without asking. For South Carolina, USCjr will suffice; although, I prefer SCar or just plain Carolina.
But, USC belongs to the Trojans. For Tennessee/Texas, Tennessee = UT, Texas = TU or UTjr. I prefer MOO MOO's. You are what you are.

Do a google image search for UT.. and then let me know how many pages you have to scroll before you find anything Tennessee. This really isn’t complicated.. some people will still say UT referring to Texas.. some will say UT for Tennessee. The simple solution is TX or Texas and TN. UT for either one just doesn’t work on here..

Tennessee has existed for about ninety years longer, so they get to be UT if they want to.

Do people even talk about Tennessee other than to say that they're UT? I've been trying to think of a topic to make about them for days but can't think of anything to say

Eventually, at least on this board, UT will be the Vols, and Texas will be Tx

Good ole Blount College and East Tennessee College.. Maybe we should call them BC or ETC.
Blount College founded in 1794..
renamed to East Tennessee College in 1807..
renamed to East Tennessee University in 1840..
renamed University of Tennessee in 1879.
On April 18, 1838, "An Act to Establish the University of Texas" was referred to a special committee of the Texas Congress, but was not reported back for further action.[14] On January 26, 1839, the Texas Congress agreed to set aside fifty leagues of land—approximately 288,000 acres (117,000 ha)—towards the establishment of a publicly funded university.[15] In addition, 40 acres (16 ha) in the new capital of Austin were reserved and designated "College Hill".[1] (The term "Forty Acres" is colloquially used to refer to the University as a whole. The original 40 acres is the area from Guadalupe to Speedway and 21st Street to 24th Street.[16])
But Texas didn’t officially open until 1883.
Texas = UT
Tennessee = UT
but that is too complicated..
Texas = Texas or TX
Tennessee = TN
This doesn’t have to be difficult.
