Mizzou's old and hated rival, the University of kansas, has sunk to a new low as they desperately pimp themselves on Social Media to find a new conference.

What's really pathetic is the stats they are using are from the Kansas City, MISSOURI, metro area. Lawrence is 40 miles away.

Hey Big 10. How about that new airport terminal? Impressed? Ready to sign us up?

They can take that airport teminal and their proximity to Kansas City, Missouri, hand that baton off to K-State, and tell the Wildcat's to help them shove up their arse.

We were heading to the Big 1G in 2011. But here is what happened. When we were in talks with the Big1G, we talked about how we could bring the Big1G Network the Kansas City market and how a rivalry could be built between Illinois and Mizzou (we play in St. Louis basketball every year). Anyway, Tom Osborn caught wind of this and Nebraska petitioned the Big1G with Osborn claiming Nebraska could as easily deliver the Kansas City market. And since Illionis delivered the St. Louis market, the Big1G invited Nebraska.

Or so, that is how I understood the story to go.

Mizzou is a terrible program. That said, Kansas is probably the WORST in terms of football. They’d make Vandy look like Alabama.

I get why. You wouldn’t have lost to Kansas in football.

It’s okay. Sorry you couldn’t get that one yard bud.

I know people who daily commute from Lawrence to KCMO. It's an easy 40 min drive. The KCMO market is obviously a Chiefs city, but Kansas basketball dominates that market in terms of college sports. KU is honestly the only remaining Big 12 team that can say it has a commanding presence over any major metro area, and it is the only remaining blue blood that can draw national interest in a revenue sport.

I think we're doing just fine. Competitive in our division every year. We are lopsided in the 'W' category when it comes to our SEC rival. I also think we're about to start the process of having some great seasons over the next few years. It's an exciting time to be a Tiger!

What you think you "know" and the actual fact are two different things. Kansas basketball does not dominate this market. Lawrence only advantage is their close proximity to KC. Setting aside sports fans who may live on either side of the border, the border is still the dividing line between the sports fans in college.

KU hoops dominates Johnson County, KS - which is just a few miles from KU’s campus. KU hoops does not dominate the KC, MO market. And I’ve noticed less and less KU presence and more and more Mizzou/pro sports here over the past decade. The only time you see KU fans in force in KCMO is when they drive their jalopies up from Lawrence for the Big 12/NCAA tournament games, but then they quickly retreat back to the safety of their milquetoast Kansas prairies.

Kansas is currently the worst football program in P5 sports. If they didn’t have such a good basketball program, they’d be members of the WAC.

Not a chance. While I'd love the chance to force them to be our bitch twice a year instead of just the once, there's only room for one swinging dick basketball blue blood in this conference. The SEC already has tGOAT. Why the frick would we invite bronze?

Drove through Kansas recently and there is not shite out there.

I legit think the Pac-12 would be smarter - looking at how the census panned out in 2020 - to add Nevada, Utah State, Colorado State, and Boise State than adding these 3rd or worst fiddle Texas teams and Plains states teams.

What’s the issue here? Lawrence is basically a suburb of KC. They’d be idiots not to let people know they’re right next to KC and not out in BFE Kansas like Kansas State.

I think for those of us who live here, we get sick of the hypocrisy from the KU lot. They have nothing nice to say about Missouri or KCMO but the only civilized part or their barren state suckles on the teet of KCMO and relies entirely on its infrastructure.

Check that....they are idiots. And, for the record, if they are "basically a subrub" of Kansas City, then they are a suburb of Kansas City, kansas, and, I will tell you, there is not jack-crap in Kansas City, kansas except kansas Speedway. All tbe major businesses, the skyscrapers...Missouri side. Major shopping centers, Missouri side. Airport- Missouri. Amusement Park - Missouri. Kauffman and Arrowhead....well on the Missouri side, in fact, on the far eastern side of the city. And in the real suburb, Independence, you will find Missouri merchandise practially everywhere, whereas kansas crap is found at 5 Below, and usually, well below 5.

kansas sucks.
