All the SEC states have some type of BBQ. Brisket, hash n’ rice, white sauce, dry rub ribs, etc.

What about Oklahoma?

I actually learned about these not long ago. Credit for something different and not trying to hang with the big boys of BBQ.

Onion burgers are good. There are a few places up by OKC and one in Ardmore that make terrific onion burgers.

Oklahoma Prime Rib-- smoked bologna roll.

I've had much better chicken fried steak in Texas than Oklahoma.

I can't stand Indian tacos. A lot of fundraisers make them. Dry and flavorless.

Sure they may have onion burgers, chicken fried steak, and smoked bologna. But do they offer cold chicken tenders on a platter and bud light poured into plastic wine glasses like the Grove does? I think not.

I don't live there and don't recall chicken tenders as being very prevalent but I like chicken tenders and I like cold beer (in a frosted mug).
