When Texas A&M goes back to playing UT during rivalry week, will the void be filled by Arkansas again? Or does the conference try and fill it vs. Oklahoma since the Arky/Mizzou matchup is a border rival? Just wondering

OU and Mizzou have played 96 times so IMO they are a better fit for rivalry weekend.

OU is gonna play OSU that weekend. Either we get Arky back or if Mizzou has them then we would need to find a new game. With no other real team in Louisiana I could see us getting stuck with some random opponent.

During the last 4 years, 2017 to 2020, when OU and OK. State played in Norman, the game was in late October or first week in November. So there is already precedent to play the game early. Seems to me OU is in the negotiation driving seat with Ok. State. We agree to play but we will play in week 2, after a warm up game, then each will have 1 game after Bedlam before OU would start SEC league play.
SO OU/LSU would be great if the SEC goes with the 2 Divisions shifting Mizzou West and Bama and Auburn East.

It will just rotate at this point, too many rivalries to placate. Teams should learn from LSU, whoever is best is your rival, that’s who you are really competing against. Having said that please give us anyone but Bama

Just to let you know Louisiana has yet to move , we still border Arkansas!
I would prefer we play Arkansas, we have a much longer history than we do with OU. But as far as ESPN is concerned, what game do you think they would prefer to have on the schedule LSU/Ark or LSU/OU?
In that question is the answer to the reality of what will happen if A&M goes back to playing Texas that weekend.
