The Big 12 are 10 schools.
The Big 12 have schools actively looking elsewhere.
UT, OU and say WVU, Kansas, Iowa St and Oklahoma St all have or will likely have new homes soon. That's over half the XII.
There's no one left to pursue litigation.
Those 6 could fire Bowlsby tomorrow.

The Big 12 organization would be, in theory, allowed to sue even if they have no members. Where ESPN comes into this is a different story. Unless they have like 4000 messages to West Virginia saying "lol move to the ACC" they really don't have a case.
I'm not looking into this any further than what I already have, but in short, businesses and organizations are free to look for new and better opportunities- that's what OU and Teaxs did. Accusing the media, with some applicable 1stAM protections, of tortious interference is something that would require serious case law study, but my guess is that they would be legally unable to separate the line between journalism and business in this interference.
Again, I have no idea what they're getting at- I have virtually no experience with contract law outside of 1L (UBC/Sales being inapplicable here). I'm curious, but this all seems like expensive, very expensive, virtue signaling

And, they should fire him...The moron is torpedoing there chances of ESPN helping them find a landing spot..Some of them might have landed in a decent conference, but now there options are probably even fewer than before because the idiot just pissed off ESPN. They might have got somewhat decent contracts from ESPN to play along, but now, probably have to go crawling to FOX and take what they can get..The guy is the definition of dumb, no matter the conference is folding..
He should be fired tonight, actually, like as soon as this news broke.
