A&M has always been our little brother. I don't see other SEC fan bases shitting their pants. Imagine having our series history and your fan base is this collectively scared to even play their rivalry game. Eventually a&m was going to have to come out from Bama's skirt and face us, we just forced the issue for them.

I've seen far more comments about A&M fans looking scared than actual comments from A&M fans regarding this situation. What's the deal with this gaslighting?

A&M won in realignment, Texas just wants to be where A&M already is, not the other way around.
Aggies don't like the fact that joining would presumably give Texas some of the advantages that we are currently enjoying. Which could possibly come at our expense.
But the reality is that A&M is currently recruiting and positioning ourselves as the "Texas school that plays in a real league." Right now this claim is no doubt "disputed" by Texas, and TCU, and Tech, and Baylor. When Texas joins the SEC there will be no doubt whatsoever that A&M and Texas are the only two teams in this state that play in a real league. A&M is in the place we've always wanted to be in terms of this state in athletics. Texas joining us really only makes that fact crystal clear, IMO.
We're not thrilled about good things happening for Texas though, obviously we'd prefer the status quo where its becoming more and more obvious all the time that we play in the best league and the others don't.

Seems like, in this case, Texas is acting like the little brother by trying to tag along and follow A&M. It's like when the older kid is hanging out with their friends and playing a game, and little brother keeps nagging asking if he can join...
