Tennessee has more national titles than LSU, both claimed and unclaimed.

In twenty years, when LSU has regressed (let's be clear, 2003 to 2019 was an anomaly) and Tennessee is back in business, this thread will look even sillier than it does now.

LSU really needs to claim their 1908 title...

Tennessee's "claimed" NCs and the Polls...remember AP started in 1936...Pepperidge Farms remembers...

1938 - Berryman, Billingsley, Boand, Dunkel, College Football Researchers Association, Houlgate, Litkenhous, Poling, Sagarin, Sagarin (ELO-Chess) Finished 11-0 but 11-0 TCU awarded the AP poll

1940 - Dunkel, Williamson Finished 10-1 Minnesota 8-0 awarded AP poll

1950 - Billingsley, DeVold, Dunkel, Football Research, National Championship Foundation, Sagarin (ELO-Chess) Finished 11-1 but 10-1 Oklahoma awarded AP poll

1951 - Associated Press, Litkenhous, United Press International (coaches), Williamson

1967 - Litkenhous Finished 9-2, USC 10-1 awarded AP poll

1998 - Associated Press, BCS, FW, National Football Foundation, USA Today

You got 2 legit titles and 2 legit beefs with the AP poll...

I love how you gloss over how LSU absolutely destroyed Tennessee in the 2001 SEC Championship game and stole your shot at the national championship game. A GLORIOUSLY butthurt omission.

In 20 years when LSU has regressed….

Someone needs to take a look at which states produce the most Division I football players. You’re barely in the top 10. You aren’t “coming back.” You’re no different than Michigan or Nebraska.

Sorry.

Louisiana has better talent than Tennessee so that by itself means LSU has a better setup. LSU has (and is) more often than not mismanaged. That’s why LSU isn’t even more accomplished.
