I like our chances; Texas has the deepest staff and has only used 2 starters and 2 relievers (0 runs), MSU 2 starters and 8 relievers (Sims twice), and Virginia 2 starters and 5 relievers. Virginia's bull pen got smacked by MSU and Texas looked good against Tennessee, especially the defense.
Our defense up the middle is really good. The two DP's yesterday were killers for the Vols; Ardoin's short-hop, backhanded catch (w/ a $%@&* catcher's mit), pivot and throw was amazing, and a bit of a momentum changer to say the least.
Texas DP
These games have been fun to watch. Tense, exciting, and glorius for the guys stepping up, and heartbreaking for the guys who get outscored.
Anything can happen in one game, but the teams playing the best baseball usually win the series.

MSU did well yesterday, came back and the pitchers put up 0's & advanced. MSU gets to rest one day and then try to win 2 out of 3.
UT's game 1 & 2 pitchers will get the same amount of rest. Hope they get a chance to pitch again.

Sorry, I don't bet on Texas sports; too emotionally invested to trivialize it over a few bucks.

Uh, State gets TWO days of rest.
And even though they pitched eight guys yesterday, none of them threw a lot of pitches.

A lot wrong here. State gets 2 days of rest, and they only have to win 1 of 2 games. Texas has to win 3 games in 3 days to advance (VA Thursday, State Friday, State Saturday).

Yeah - almost like it was two diff games. To have that rolling and then game turn like that has to be deflating. Along with that - certainly gives MSU more of a spark.
Have to give it to the NC State hand - based on super regional - to take an absolute demoralizing beat down like they did in game 1 - and be able to do what they did, pretty damn strong.
