Tigahs - would you be ok with the tradeoff of hiring Mulkey but also then hiring Bianco?

- Hall of Fame coach in a lesser sport
- Solid but not elite coach in the #2B sport
Yay or nay for Woodward?

baseball at LSU should be expected to be represented by someone who carries the same clout Mulkey does in her respective sport.

no. I honestly couldn't care less who the womens bball coach is or what their record is.

At least very close to it. Bianco is like Frank Martin or something.

Absolutely. Have no doubt LSU would still be a contender with Bianco. Mulkey is a game changer.

I would literally be okay with disbanding the woman's basketball team to win another baseball national title.

If LSU is truly the superior program with superior resources to Ole Miss, then Bianco should easily make a few Omaha trips in his tenure.

Who would that be? And why can’t you get him?

Mulkey seems like she'd be a great bench coach, maybe? Highest paid lieutenant in college baseball.

It would be a net negative in my opinion since baseball >>>> women’s basketball. Out of those 2 sports, the home run hire should be for baseball (pun notwithstanding).

Excuse my hyperbole. I'm a little on edge today.

SEC baseball is kind of confusing to me.
I hear all this talk about "elite" baseball programs from schools that have never won anything of substance.
I think LSU is the only school that has had marked success. Tied for second most national titles. Then comes Vandy and USC, and that's really it.
Nobody else has done anything. Making it to the CWS is not a victory. Winning it is the only thing that matters. One win is a fluke. Two wins defines a pattern. It would be like a program crowing about making it to the Elite Eight and never winning anything.
TCU's program is not top-shelf. My old school, CSUF, deserves far more recognition. At four titles, that's helluva lot more than a lot of SEC programs that consider themselves top-tier.
I don't get it.
