That's the thing though, it doesn't matter what we did in SEC play if we suddenly go cold in Omaha. We met FSU in Omaha the last time we went and lost. The most talented team rarely wins the NCAA tournament in either basketball or baseball.

Baylor had more talent than Gonzaga, if not then they would have lost. Gonzaga played an easy conference schedule and wasn't challenged.

We lost to them 1-0. We also lost a few 1 run games to NC State. The ball will eventually bounce the other way.

I'd be more worried of we had a 30 year history of going 0-2 every time we made it. That shows the program is likely overachieving by reaching Omaha. A streak like that isn't "just baseball". One run games are

People said we would not be a perennial Omaha club during those years we kept losing supers to Arizona State. Here we are
