Has Gus Malzahn ever developed a QB?

Trying to think of a QB that can be credited to him for development, and can't think of any.
he inherited Newton
inherited Marshall, and honestly he wasn't a QB.
All others have pretty much plateaued when they got to campus.
Are there any?
I mean, Fisher has Jamarcus( I don't think he developed at all. But to be fair, likely wasn't bc of Fisher) and Winston. And maybe Flynn.
I get why some may call Jimbo a QB Guru, but why do some people refer to Gus as one too?

He has our school record for passing yards and total offense in a game. He was a QB and the perfect one for the 2013 and 2014 teams.

Maybe 10 years ago. I doubt he’s been called that anytime recently.
I think it’s pretty well known that’s he’s basically ruined several highly ranked HS QBs since Marshall.

I remember when people were saying he was a better quarterback developer than Petrino and well that can’t be any further from the truth

Granted, this is from 2014, but some referred to him like this up until last season.
It wasn't until Nix took about eight steps back in his play that some in the media were willing to admit that maybe he wasn't a QB Guru.

How good has Auburn’s Gus Malzahn been at developing quarterbacks since beginning his career as a football coach in 1991?
If awards are a gauge of his effectiveness, Malzahn has pumped out a Heisman winner, a Sun Belt Player of the Year, a Conference USA Player of the Year, a USA Today National High School Player of the Year and an AP Arkansas Player of the Year.
And he’s not even 50 yet and just finished his first season as the head coach at a power program.
As Ron Higgins of The Times-Picayune stated earlier this month, Malzahn is like “The Quarterback Whisperer.”

Yes, 2014, the year Marshall broke the passing record and total offense/game record. Marshall improved from JUCO and from 2013-2014 but it’s been pretty clear he has been shitty with QBs since then.

By inherit, what do you mean?
He recruited both Cam Newton and Nick Marshall.

Um, we knew it when Fraizier, Johnson and White all flamed out. I guess you weren’t paying attention.

And he set numerous HS record in the state of Georgia before some guy named Deshaun Watson came around.

That says more about Auburn's QB history than it supports him being a QB.
Here are his stats for those two years:
General Passing Rushing
Year Team Comp Att Yds TD Int Rate Att Yds Avg TD
2013 Auburn 142 239 1,976 14 6 143.2 172 1,068 6.2 12
2014 Auburn 178 293 2,532 20 7 148.7 153 798 5.2 11
That's not a QB. He played QB, but he wasn't a QB.

We have two Heisman winners at that position
Jason Campbell was a 1st round pick. Dameyune Craig is in the football HOF for the most passing yards in a pro game.
