Aren’t FSU/UF and USC/Clemson required by their legislatures to play? Not sure about GT/UGA.

But in reality, other than GT, none of them have ever been in the same conference, and have always played OOC. And if it weren’t for the arrogance and condescension of Deloss Dodds, we’d still be playing.

As stated above, it isn’t about “need” it’s about moving on and not wanting to deal with tu.

A&M should have been in the SEC from the get go, and if that were the case this game wouldn’t have succumbed to drama of us leaving the XII.

should have no bearing
In the Most football state of football states.

A&M should have been in the SEC from the get go, and
but turned it down the first time. Probably because of immense pressure as previously described to not join by their fanbase.

immense internal pressure not to renew the rivalry from fans

Pressure not to lose to Texas just like they didn’t want to join sec and get knocked around like today? Then they were forced to leave by their fanbase due to losing near 80 ( e i g h t y) games to Texas?
Sounds like a culture of wanting to avoid conflict, which forces a premature move that doesn’t benefit either.
