Business report article.
How fricked is LSU That they are trying to hire the person at the head of their investigation? The fact LSU would even try to pull this is hilarious and shows the desperation they have to not get the death penalty.
RIP LSU athletics

That would be awesome considering how he has ran the NCAA. Would end the investigations though. Smart move.

logically, for the purposes of their NCAA issues, wouldn't it be more beneficial for them to keep Emmert right where he is as president of the NCAA given his connections to LSU and Scott Woodward? Not sure how you're seeing hiring him as president of the law school would present any perceived benefit to their NCAA investigation. That would, in theory, be removing their "advantage" in the NCAA offices, brining him in house, and then him being replaced by some non-connected party as president of the NCAA with whom they do not have a relationship like that. Not to mentiuon, Mark Emmert isn't the "head" of any investigation. The head of enforcement for the NCAA is Jon Duncan, who oversees the investgation staff. The president of the NCAA doesn't do that

LSU, take one for the team and remove him from NCAA President

Emmert has to be tired of dealing with the NCAA mess
It would be a pay cut but it allows him to take LSU job with retirement on the horizon
It would likely be a short term gig just to get LSU back on solid footing and get through all the scandals from Title IX and then they can look for the replacement

Emmert going to L1U would be like jumping from one dumpster fire to the other.
He’s not going to do it.
He’s not going to do it.

He left LSU because it was a poor school in a poor state. No way in hell he even considers coming back.

interesting. And to whom does Jon Duncan report?
quote:
Emmert has close friends in Baton Rouge, including LSU Athletic Director Scott Woodward, whose stepson is married to Emmert’s daughter, and LSU booster Richard Lipsey, who recently returned from a wine-tasting trip he and his wife take annually with the Emmerts.
In other news, The United Nations Human Rights Council, chaired by Syria and co-chaired by China, issued a statement of disgust at the gross violations of human rights committed by the United States against it own citizens.
