Patriots starting center Bryan Stork was injured before the season. That's why Andrews got the start in the season opener. He played well enough to keep the center job when Stork came back in November, and Stork played guard and tackle due to injured players at those positions. Stork was traded after the season and failed his physical and retired.
So what you’re saying is he took over the starting job for a SB team, beat out the previous starting center, and went on to win 2 of the next 3 SB’s.

Pretty much exactly what I said. Thanks.

He didn't beat out the previous center. They had pressing needs at other spots and moved Stork there to help out.
