Smitty is on record picking Mac already. Not that either said anything bad about Tua, but it says a lot about Mac that both picked him over last year's #5 overall draft pick.

Tua has already been drafted too. They want to help their buddy who hasn't. Seems reasonable but I wouldn't look to much into it.

I'd take Mac over Tua.

Hell, I'd take AJ and Coker over Tua also.

Mac is Burrow level good. If you go back and watch his tape you will see. He made some damn good throws.

After seeing Tua in the NFL this year I would say Mac too.

Another bama QB bust.

At least he has two working legs.

I said this last year. Tua was so gifted, so talented but the best qb? No.
He didn't see the field very well. He could be careless with the ball. He also tended to be impatient at times. Helluva arm, my goodness and a great athlete.

In my time watching Bama, since early 70s, I'd put mccarron at one, just a little bit ahead of Mac. Mccarron was a field General, smart, the fiercest competitor I've seen and threw a great ball. Same pretty much with Mac. The bigger the stage, the better they played. People laugh at Coker but that sob played flawlessly down the stretch in 2015. He starts against ole miss and we win. He led a furious 2nd half comeback that fell 7 points short. The biggest games in 2015, at Georgia and Clemson, Coker was MONEY in both.

Tuas qbr in the sec championship and cfp was like a 46.
He disappeared in games with a lot chips on the table.

I’d personally pick Mac and also AJ Mccarron over Tua for college QB’s. Tua beat up on a lot of shitty teams. He is definitely a very good QB but his hype in many ways is built off of one outstanding play. Same as Jadeveon Clowney.

Tua was a great Q*BERT at Bama but Mac was better and it’s no contest. Tua just could not stay on the field. Injuries really hurt him in his time at Bama. It probably cost him on being the 1 or 2nd pick in the draft. He missed to many games and had to play in many more banged up and it let some other slip up on him and take that spot from him. Mac had no such problems. Mac had a bigger body so he could take some hits but Mac is way better at checking the ball down and just taking what the defensive gave him so he stayed healthy. Tua was always holding on to the ball way to long and it cost him a lot of extra punishment so he stayed injured more.

Waddle just won a championship with Mac starting and throwing him passes, of course he's going to say Mac. Smitty just won a Heisman and a Championship with Mac throwing him passes.

I bet you Jeudy and Ruggs would say Tua. It's just one of those things. It's not an indictment on either. I don't see why everyone makes things like this an issue.

Mac and Tua are both 1st round national championship winning QBs. They're both good, and that's ok.

From the eye test, Mac is a better passer. I'd take Mac for my team.
