He’s a risky hire, but I think he will be a damned good one. He’s high energy.

He and T-Rob are two former players that Auburn Fans want to come back as Coordinators in the near future/

Good position coach, great recruiter, young, energetic. He'll probably take some lumps as a new DC but he's worth the risk. Looking forward to watching his progress. Congrats

I hoped he would have gone to a UCF 4 years ago as a DCord, made his bones and be coming back to Auburn now. He's behind his curve a few years.. He will be back home soon.

First DC job, but I think he's ready. He doesn't have DC experience, but he brings alot of positives to the table.

Good hire.

Don’t know if he’s ready for a DC job but only one way to find out.

Great LB Coach.

I just hope Gus knows the pressure cooker he’s walking into at UCF

Maybe he’s not used to winning it all like he’ll do here.

Not sure if Auburn jr. is what you want to be going for but then again you are UCF.

Well, both Auburn and UCF have managed to win the NC in the last 40 years, so it will be ok.

UCF needs to get AU on the schedule. I want to see the crawfishing when Gus beats them.

Once again, GUS is the reason we lost to UCF in the first place and he ain't our coach anymore.

I wasn’t overly impressed with him but he was highly thought of by a lot of Auburn fans who were very disappointed that he wasn’t retained by Harsin. He is a safe hire for Gus and might end up being very good. I like Gus and I’ll be pulling for him to do a good job for UCF.

When Auburn played Memphis in the Birmingham Bowl in 2015, Muschamp (DC) had left for SC. Lance Thompson was Auburn's "acting" DC for the game, but of course he also had one foot out the door. Auburn's defense played better in that game than anytime during the season. I heard from multiple people at that time that T-Will was the reason why -- that he had led the defense in bowl practice, was a huge part of game planning, and I even heard from one source that he called some or all of the defensive plays in-game. How much of all that is true, I don't know, but it was coming from several places. That was 6 years ago, and I sure he's learned much more, since. He'll be a good one.
