Will NWA show up in 2025 or let State be the dominant force in WMS?

This is a silly question.
NWA doesn't even show up to RRS games.

Why would they these last four years of the Bert and Chaggie?
We haven't had a nine win or better season since the crash happened.

Checking in for NWA
I've actually been to a few stAte games and can say 100% I'd rather go to a game in Jonesboro than WMS. It's just a nicer part of the state with good folks.
But if that's where we are playing, I'll be there

WMS is terrible. I went to the Ole Miss game back in 2018 and it was cold and sprinkling rain. They had a razorback logo spray painted on a hill but it was ruined when the drunks started falling down the hill. It was unrecognizable.
I saw plenty of canopies that were fallen over and I assumed that fights had already broken out.
I remember that they didn't check everyone for tickets and the ones they couldn't scan, they let them in anyway.
The restrooms were out of soap and the stalls were filled with bottles of whiskey. The food was cold and the seats had no numbers because they were faded.
All I got out of it was a meltdown against Ole Miss and a bad cold that lasted two weeks. I decided I would never go back. It was a much better experience 20 years ago.

I’d rather end it all than live in NEA. WMS has outlived it’s usefulness for sure

Just like we were going to play Michigan and ND.
Will believe it when I see it and god why can't WMS just go away.

I didn't need to. I could have just grabbed the almost empty whiskey bottles around the golf course and filled them up until I had a full bottle.
The golf course is always trashed during the games but when you mix it with rain and mud, it was just a huge mess. It was always bad but it just was on a different level that day.
I use to enjoy going to WMS years ago until I had to move. But that was when it was in a lot better shape and the city still put money into it. When I moved I would still go to some WMS games and the game before that was in 2009. It was in decent shape then. But I could still see the decline.
I don't expect the next best stadium experience but if the city doesn't bother putting money into it and giving it a level playing field on par with stadiums around the nation then they should have given it a proper goodbye. Instead they are letting the corpse rot.

Those damn socialists in LR expect a free lunch. Don't pay for shite and get to keep games. It's embarrassing

The product put on the field at WMS is what's embarrassing. The teams that have come down here the last 9 years look like they belong in Quigley at Central High. Always funny when the players bitch about the stadium when they come here and then proceed to shite their britches on the field. They don't deserve a nice G5 stadium like WMS. Frankly I'm not sure why anyone here wants them to come back.
Trolling aside not many here really give a shite about the hogs anymore. We have been too shitty for too long. It's actually pretty sad. You could walk into most of the bars in town while we are playing and would have to ask to change a TV to the game. DMAC and Portis type kids that are all hog are probably a thing of the past.

One day we might accidentally stumble onto a good coach. It happens from time to time. Dabo Swinney turned out to be Dabo Swinney and elevated a mostly mediocre Clemson program to elite status. Oklahoma State found Mike Gundy. TCU has Gary Patterson. Michigan State got Mark Dantonio. Stanford got Jim Harbaugh and then David Shaw. I'm listing all the non-blue blood examples, because to a certain degree, it kind of doesn't matter who helms the programs with a good recruiting base. They'll at least reach a bowl most years even under the most inept of coaches. A decent one can win them 10 without much trouble.
When that happens, interest will reignite. If we maintain the decent level of winning for a decade, we might return to oldschool levels of fandom that can withstand the next couple of bad hires. Until then, I don't particularly give a shite and I don't know anyone else IRL who does, either. We half-heartedly follow maybe half the games, feel surprised/a twinge of the good 'ol days when we win, and feel nothing in particular when we lose. It's really just not worth getting emotionally invested in even the slightest when you watch the administration take every chance they get to frick up.
Basketball at least has potential, even though we're underperforming yet again this year. It gets easier every year to forget we're playing.

He came in and changed the game how that athletic department operated. There is a wall street journal article explaining it well. Even if we stumbled on a guy like that, our board of trustees would never stand for doing things different than the "Broyles way" or cast aside old timers for new blood.
Which is fine, the respect for tradition and history (in all areas of life) is part of what makes Arkansas great. But it doesn't lend itself well to revolutionary change

Don't mistake me for one of these "we need 4 games a year in WMS!" people. I'm leaving this shithole as soon as I can
Besides, the kids in south Arkansas are LSU fans.

By 2025 WMS will probably be an apartment complex anyway. If not, treat ASU just like we would every other Sun Belt team...come play in NWA or don't play.
They'll show up.
As to South Arkansas, there are a lot more players in Eastern OK, SW MO, and even up to the KC area than in South AR. If we can't recruit kids from Warren and Hope while playing games in NWA then we have other problems (and we do).

Why? It's not a full time stadium.
From a noise perspective, NWA can't compete. A good team will display that.

As far as WMS, 15 years ago I was on the LR side of the argument. We have zero business playing any home game off campus and zero business playing State.

The 2010 Alabama game had already put that debate to rest.
